I ordered my pattern online but did not receive an email with download instructions.

Check your spam filter settings on your email set-up. You need to allow emails from Ellie’s Wardrobe. Also check your junk email folder to look for the email. If there is still no joy then please check that the correct email address was entered when submitting the purchase. For further help with non receipt of pattern download emails please message me (H).

I received the confirmation email for my pattern download but there is no link to click.

If you received the email then the link will be in there! I have noticed that it can be easy to miss however. You need to scroll right past the order details. I have uploaded an example email below. Highlighted in red is where to find the download link to click on (or copy and paste into your internet browser if your email viewer doesn’t allow a direct click). The link address is the first line highlighted in red on the example; it will begin with http:// (in the actual email this is not highlighted in red so you need to scroll down and look for it under the download details section). Note that the Email field will relate to the email address entered during checkout and there will also be a unique download code supplied to you.

I received the email with download link but I can’t click on it.

You may need to copy & paste the link into your browser if your email client won’t allow a direct click. Alternatively a shortcut to the download page can be found by clicking here.

I received the email with download link but can’t enter my user name or code.

Please see the email again and look under ‘Download Details’. The Email is the email address that you entered when signing up (will also be listed under ‘download details’) and the unique code should also be listed underneath the link to the download web address. You will need to enter these into the web page in order to access the download files. The form looks like this:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Enter your email address and code and the following screen should appear, giving details of all downloads that you have available.

 

 

 

 

 

Just click to start downloading the relevent pattern PDF files.

I downloaded the PDF files but my computer won’t open them.

You will need a copy of Adobe Reader in order to open and print out the files. This program can be downloaded for free from the official site here.

If the files haven’t correctly downloaded (which may happen if the download is interrupted or there is a poor internet connection) then you may need to repeat the download and try again.

Why aren’t all your patterns made available for free download?

I spend a lot of time and effort putting my patterns together in an easy to understand format to allow them to be downloaded and followed by fellow hobbyists. Rather than just sharing a copy of each of my own patterns, I try to resize as many as possible to allow people to get the right fit and size for their own child. My basic pattern range are all offered for free download to hobby users. The patterns that take a lot more time and effort to get right and resize appropriately, I make a small charge of 99 pence for. This is to reflect a donation to the upkeep of the site and to cover the time and cost in bringing the original designs to publication. My ethos is to share my patterns for free or as cheap as possible in order that other mums can use them in the same way as I do – to make cheap, good quality clothing for my kids without breaking the bank nor bringing the construction price in higher than shop bought.
